Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes high quality research relating to the full range of chemical, physical, ergonomic, biological and psychosocial hazards in the workplace and to environmental contaminants and their health effects.

OEM is the official journal of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of London and of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine.

BMJ is delighted to announce that Professor Hans Kromhout of Utrecht University in the Netherlands has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief for Occupational and Environmental Medicine

 

A Professor of Exposure Assessment and Occupational Hygiene at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences and chair of The Health Council of the Netherlands’ Committee on Electromagnetic Fields, Hans has also been an Associate Editor for OEM since 2009. 

 

Hans will take up his post in June, succeeding Professor Malcolm Sim, who has been Editor-in-Chief since 2013.
